About

My art style can best be described as avant-garde and conceptual and pictorial expressionism, including both figurative and non-figurative expressionism.

Visual art is my passion and my project of existence, and it flows through my blood vessels. Drawing and painting have occupied me throughout my life. I was educated in visual arts, rooted in the traditions of Russian constructivism at Leningrad Design Institute, but in my creative work I use an experimental approach that goes beyond classical aesthetics,

using original and innovative means of expression and expressive symbolism. Spontaneous imaginations are also an important part of my inspiration, sometimes eclectic and sometimes realistic.

The last 16 years Norwegian nature and landscapes have been an additional source of inspiration.

I am studying all types of art constantly, both traditional and contemporary art, thus extending my views and reflections.

Activism of art - for freedom
and aesthetic expression

Concept: Art and life are united through creative unfolding as a societal changing force. The art seeks beauty and harmony, both as equally meaningful, and not just as decoration. Aesthetic expression, to illuminate beauty, cannot unfold without freedom,as freedom is a prerequisite, and

a source of beauty on its own. The intersection of beauty and freedom is fulcrum: the conceptual metaphor of creativity.

Sold pictures can be found in several private collections in Russia, Germany, England, Greece, Norway, USA. Some series of paintings have been acquired for collections at Dodge Company USA, Novgorod Telecom Company, Russia. Some pictures were purchased at the "Modern Art Museum" in St. Petersburg and "Modern Art Museum"
